
Quezon City Public Library is one of the largest public library in Metro Manila. It was inaugurated on August 16, 1948. Today, Quezon City Public Library is composed of a main library located at the back of Quezon City Hall and 21 libraries scattered all over Quezon City. The main library collection is composed of more than 18131 books and have a total of 71 computer stations for OPAC, encoding and internet available free of charge to QC residents.
It has 44 plantilla positions and 16 contractual employees.
As Metro Manila’s largest public library, Quezon City Public Library serves nearly 23 percent or 2.679 M residents from Metro Manila’s total population of 11.553 M (2007 Census) with a wide variety of programs and services.
