
Quezon City Public Library is one of the largest public library in Metro Manila. It was inaugurated on August 23, 1948. Today, Quezon City Public Library is composed of a main library located at the back of Quezon City Hall and 16 libraries scattered all over Quezon City. The main library collection is composed of more than 13000 books and have a total of 10 computer search stations for the public.
It has 44 plantilla positions and 16 contractual employees.
As Metro Manila’s largest public library, Quezon City Public Library serves nearly 22 percent or 2.173 M residents from Metro Manila’s total population of 9.932 M (2000 Census) with a wide variety of programs and services.
